It’s coming to the scariest time of the year, which means that it’s time to see all these spooky costumes, decorations and treats everywhere. We don’t do that at our household with two little kids but still hope they can both have a bit fun.

For my little valentine this year, I transferred Mickey and Minnie all dressed up on decorated sugar cookies.

For my little sunshine, I created a set of adorable Halloween-themed Unicorn sugar cookies.

The flavour is our new delicious “salted caramel sugar cookie”.

Little Miss Chelsea is 3. 

The cake design is given by Chelsea's Mum. I googled it and it came from "Sugarlily Cakes".

Swirl cake with milk chocolate ganache dressed with a hand cut 2D Emma Wiggle topper. How well does yellow go with pink? Chelsea's Emma Wiggle birthday cake showcased pink and yellow stripes.

I made some jungle animal fondant cupcake toppers for him - from lions, monkeys to hippos, giraffes, tigers and elephants. Plus a few toppers with number one.

🐻Love Bear Chanel Cake🐻

Hi Cake Sweeties,

A Chanel inspired cake I created for my sisterly friend. The cake is decorated with a hand sculpted “Love Bear Chanel”, several designer handbags by using moulds and a Chanel Perfume using the edible image. This stylish cake is a modern twist on an old favourite that any lady can enjoy! Plus, some lovely homemade Macarons no one can resist.

The cake design is inspired by “PATOSHERIE”.

Cake is Lemon Poppy Seed with Lemon Curd and Lemon White Chocolate fillings covered with White Chocolate Ganache, then fondant.

💵💵Money Cake💵💵

Sorry not to update as often as I wished lately. 

Big shout out "Happy birthday to my big valentine who turned 21st again in June". 😛

I was planning to make a cake with real money inside to pull, which would be a perfect surprise for his birthday. However, the gadget hasn’t arrived so I changed to the non-edible money/credit card images with a mini Napoleon bottle on top.💵💵💳🥃 The body of the cake had a border of 24k edible gold leaf which kids enjoyed. 

The design is inspired by "storytalecakes" on Instagram. 

Layers of Matcha sponge cake filled with red bean, frosted with less sweet white chocolate ganache. 🍵

🚗Cars Inspired Cake🚗

Vroom! Vroom! 

Last month, I made a cake for a little boy who was turning 4.

This "Cars" themed cake features a handcrafted 3D sugar art figurine of Lightning McQueen with hand painted details, adds two racing cars on the racetrack and chequered boarder. To compliment the cake, there were also other edible decorations such as road sign and traffic cones. 

Three layered cake that was chocolate and vanilla checkerboard inside with chocolate ganache undercoat.

❤️Hand-Painted Anniversary Cake❤️

A simple little cake this year for my big valentine to celebrate our 11 years of wedded bliss...

A new cake recipe for my hubby and kids to explore i.e brown butter cake filled and sandwiched with dark chocolate ganache and Oreos, then covered with more delicious dark chocolate ganache.

In order to create a truly unique design, I chose cake painting instead of silhouette cutters. I painted this cute Koala family of 4 to symbolise my little family. The brilliant white fondant, the bold red of tiny hearts and the delightfully cute Koala family all add up to a really whimsical anniversary cake.

A husband is just a title every man can have. But it takes a heart and life to live by it. You are still trying not to fail and to show me how much I mean to you. I am amazed that we both still able to annoy each other over the year. Well, I can’t wait to annoy you many many more to proof how much I love you still.

Frozen "Let It Go" Birthday Cake

Last night, I was going through my cake creations. Then, I found out that I haven’t shared my daughter’s third birthday cake and the matching cookie favour I made for her.  Here is the Frozen Movie inspired cake for my daughter on her third birthday at childcare.

You could tell that I like to use decorated cookies as cake decorations these few years. The perfect opportunity for me to make some Frozen Cookies i.e. I had Elsa, Anna and Snowman Olaf cookies with some small snowflake cookies on the cake. I made some spare snowflake cookies for the party favour. To add a final touch, I had two rock candy sticks as a backdrop behind Elsa and Anna (new less candies less sweets rule from the centre). 

The cake was a “vegan vanilla cake with dark chocolate ganache”. I could still remember hearing my daughter humming “do you wanna build a snowman” and “Let it go” when she saw the cake.

Easter Sweetness 🐣🐇

I was away from my kitchen this school autumn break. The first week, we went to Sydney to visit my in-laws. It was such a memorable family road trip. The second week, we spent times at home. Here are the Easter treats we have made so far. 

New Bunny Cake Trend – two layers of vegan lemon cakes, in the shape of a bunny’s head, with lemon whipped cream in between and on top. This gorgeous lemon cake is topped with Easter eggs, sugared flowers and magical cake sprinkles.

My little ones have missed out most Easter activities due to our family trip. Mummy just has to do something to make it up this year i.e. sugared cookies.

Valentine Chiffon Cake

Hi Cake Sweeties, 

Love is in the air!! Kids and I made this pink ombre (not shown too much) striped heart chiffon cake for Paul.

The chiffon cake is dual-flavoured, starting from vanilla (cream-colour) and ending with strawberry jam on the other end (pink-red).

I then paired with some decorated sugared cookies boxes (cookies that are stacked to hide more sweet surprises inside).

Magical Mermaid Cake

Hi Cake Sweeties

Giving my little sunshine mermaid kisses and starfish wishes with a mermaid gift that tastes as good as it looks! This enchanting cake features a true under the sea adventure complete with shimmering starfish, sea horse, sea turtles, lobsters and mermaid cookies, sure to make a splash at the “shellebration”.

“Less is more”. I only needed a small cake so I kept the details to a minimum and only used a couple of colors and edible toppers but overall– the effect was a precious little cake. 

Mermaid theme cake and shell cookies with a number 4 are eggless and nuts free.

I remember hearing your heart beat for the first time, and feeling you move and kick while still in my belly. From those first moments, until eternity, you would always be my baby. Being your mother definitely brings more happiness than I know what to do with, and I don't know what I'd do without you. Happy birthday, baby. I love you so much.
