Rainbow Chiffon Cakes

 

Dear Cake Sweeties

I would love to share two chiffon rainbow cakes together here this time.

The first chiffon rainbow cake was made with help from my kids two years ago for my Mum. Hope these rainbows bring some love to you all for the upcoming occasion.

Don’t forget to take care during this time, take time to slow down and it's a great bonding time with your family too. We may never get this much time again to focus on them.

The second chiffon rainbow cake was made for my son's school buddy. It was not easy to make 6 neat rainbow layers in a chiffon cake but it turned out nice and neat this time.

I decorated the cake with white chocolate drip and magical sprinkles. I love how sweet it looks!

** Due to the Covid-19 all these years, I haven't posted as often as I could as I have been busy with homeschooling. Then, we have another baby on board just 5 months ago. Now, we have three children in our family. It is a hectic family life and I am trying to focus on them so I don't have many creations in 2020 and 2021. Now I am slowly putting on what I created two years ago for 2022.

Thank you to all who have had cakes, cupcake, macarons, and sugared cookies for all these years. It's been a very tricky year for all and especially for those of us in small business. Your support has been truly appreciated. Wishing you all a wonderful festive period and a better 2022.

Dior Inspired Macaron Cupcakes

 

Dear Cake Sweeties,

On the lookout for a féminin and le chic birthday gift? An edible Dior Inspired Gift for my little sisterly friend last year. 

I incorporated elements of Dior gold, pink and red hues to decorate the vanilla macaron toppers. Soft, light, moist Oreo cupcakes topped with an easy Oreo buttercream frosting.

🍼Baby Girl Slobber Cookies🍼

 

Dear Cake Sweeties

A Baby Girl is turning 4 months old. I made these adorable vanilla sugar cookies and decorated with fondant. Previously we mentioned that slobber cookies are used for 4-month old baby Anti-Drooling ceremony. An old Taiwanese tradition, these cookies will be strung into a garland with red string and placed round the baby's neck. These cookies are used by family and friends to wipe the lips of the baby as they say auspicious phrases.

The ceremony is religion-free. It's actually a milestone for a baby. From old ancestors' wisdom, they believed babies are usually more fragile before turning 4 months, by the time being, the baby would grow stronger to be officially presented to families and friends, and the mother could also be well rested and get back in shape by then. So, why not throw a party to celebrate? Well, the drooling might not stop right away, yet the wishes and memories will last forever.

They are not only great for Anti-Drooling Ceremony, but also make unforgettable Baby Shower Favors for your guests.

Happy announcement!! I just welcomed my third baby in July this year. I cannot wait to create some sweet memories for her in the coming future.

Louise Vuitton Inspired Macaron Cupcake

Long time no blog. During the lockdown, I was homeschooling my two little chipmunks. Life has never been so hectic but at the same time, I am very grateful to spend more time with my little ones. 

Every event, gathering and party is cancelled. In a pandemic, in challenge will be to distance ourselves physically but not emotionally.

Here’s a fab Louis Vuitton themed birthday surprise for my dearest sisterly friend Yvone! Always together, never apart...maybe in distance but never in heart.

Slobber Cookies

Hi Cake Sweeties

During the lockdown, a baby boy is turning 4 months old. An old tradition that parents will prepare a set of cookies threaded on a red string. The cookies known as slobber or anti drooling ceremony cookies are made into a necklace and place around the baby’s neck. The cookies are used by the family and friends to wipe baby’s lips as they giving well wishes to the baby. The cookies then will be shared by all attendees except the baby who is too small to eat.

Cookie is new flavour i.e lemon sugar cookies.

Sorry that I haven't shared my works for a few months. Kids have been home schooling. I became a full-time teaching Mummy. Hope to share more creations soon. You can join me on Facebook Group where I have most updated posts there.

👛Breakfast at Tiffany's Inspired 💍

Hi Cake Darlings,

I've always believed that good things come in small packages; especially small Tiffany blue boxes.

Breakfast at Tiffany's meets two of my sisterly friends from home during this difficult time. The colour scheme was of course, Tiffany blue, white, black and silver. 

I love the movie and I was mostly inspired by Audery Hepburn's chic fashion sense. Her iconic little black dress with tiara and pearls was the first thing that came to my mind. 

In the end, 12 regular sized vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream icing; topped with lemon sugar cookies toppers from the little Tiffany box, little black dress, hat, high-heel, hand-painted Audery's portrait and logo. 

That's for now, darlings! 

🧁L.O.L Dolls Cupcakes🧁

Hi Cake Sweeties,

My little sunshine turned 5 in February. The weather was similar to today on the day she came to my life 5 years ago. 

How time flies in a blink of eyes! She is now a Preppy. In order to celebrate it with her new teachers and classmates, she wants L.O.L Dolls theme this year.

I used the edible wafer image mounted on the fondant then paced directly on our brown sugar cookie before topped on each cupcake. Cupcake was our ultimate chocolate flavour topped with buttercream.

My dearest Sweetheart: 

Whatever it is that you wanted in the future, whether you want to be a lawyer or a doctor, or perhaps, you just want to travel the world or simply to be like me or Daddy always remember that I’ll be right here to support you my dear! May you have an awesome 5th birthday with all your cuddly friends at school.

Daddy and I love you to the moon and back.
