A cute little farm tractor cake for my little sisterly friend’s son’s first birthday.

It’s a simple single tiered vanilla cake with the handmade strawberry filling and milk chocolate ganache before covered in and decorated with fondant.

The tractor was made from Rice-Krispie treats and covered in fondant as well. Handmade Border Collie figurine is the birthday boy’s pet big brother. Moreover, a special gesture to showcase my little sisterly friend and her husband’s nationalities is the edible Irish and Taiwanese flags. She is Taiwanese and he is an Irish. I suggested a handmade cow figurine to present the birthday boy was born right before the year of ox. I also surprised them with a baby boy figurine topper.

Anti-Drooling Ceremony

Dear Cake Sweeties

Happy nearly 4th month, our little muffin. We had 12 slobber cookies for baby Emma Grace’s anti-drooling ceremony last Sunday. The cookies are strung together with a red string and then placed around her neck. Family and friends was wiping her lips with the cookies while extending their well wishes. After the ceremony, the cookies were shared with guests.

Push-up cake pop with a layer of chocolate cake, ganache, vanilla cake, brown sugared cookie and cow pattern macaron was for guests to take home.

Cake was vanilla and dark chocolate swirl cake.

I am currently planning her first birthday in two months time. How time flies in a blink of eyes.

Baby Girl's Full Month Package

Announcing my little muffin's arrival in style through quality food items in charmingly put together 滿月禮盒 (Full Month Packages). Her package consists of a birth announcement, which has her newborn photo and details as well as handmade sugar cookies and macarons. I also ordered the Honey Sponge Cake made by Mountain River Patisserie to complete the package.

Happy first month anniversary, my baby girl, Emma Grace Huang! Mummy loves you to the moon and back. I cannot wait to create more sweet memories for you in the future.

The Year of Ox Slobber Cookies

My first creation in 2022 was this set of adorable brown sugared cookies. 

In Taiwan, a special ceremony takes place when a baby reaches four months old. Cookies are strung around the neck of the baby. Family members and friends break off the cookies and rub them on the lips of the baby. This ceremony is to prevent drooling in the future. These cookies are made for the twins.

Bluey Cake and Cupcakes

Dear Cake Sweeties

Such a playful Bluey cake made for a 5th birthday and for a little fan of the TV show.

Round cake covered in light blue sugar paste with store bought plastic Bluey and Bingo characters, topped with clouds and a standing number 5. I also added some non-edible 3D balloons to this festive Bluey cake. I was planning for the edible version but my sphere moulds of various sizes aren’t arrived yet.

Cake was Oreo sponge cake with chocolate ganache and was complemented with 25 vanilla cupcakes topped with store bought non edible topper as well.

Happy 5th birthday, Chelsea. I hope you had as much fun as Bluey and Bingo always do.

Life is hectic with now three kids on board. However, I would still enjoy making cakes for beloved family and friends. As my moto said: counting our blessing and wishing you more.

Louis Vuitton Celebration Package

Louis Vuitton cake featuring a beatifully designed LV logo in gold for a dance studio’s celebration party.

The cake was a vanilla sponge and smothered in bittersweet Belgium chocolate ganche. All the decorations were handmade to create a Louis Vuitton handbag feel.

The ultimate chocolate cupcakes were piped with salted caramel buttercream, but instead of finishing the look with the logo fondant decorations, we had the customised Louis Vuitton Monogram pattern macarons on top.

Calvin Klein Cake

My latest cake creation from two years ago, covered with coloured stripe to make it like a rainbow. Then, topped with handmade logo painted with the edible gold lustre dusts to complete the look.

Initially, I was asked to create a designer brand cake. The logo of Calvin Klein’s colour combination is normally black and white. My formal employer preferred something more feminine and colourful. As there weren’t many cake designs without containing their black and white trunk, which is what CK famous for. Hence, I started the cake sketch from scratch this time. It’s a lovely design that fulfilled all the criteria from the requests.

Rainbows are a sign of hope and promise of better times to come. A rainbow cake is definitely perfect for young and young at heart.

Cake was the golden butter cake.

My blessed pregnancy was also announced after this post.
