Knock-knock! Isn’t she a cutie?

Here's our latest trendy cake, Pinata Surprise Cake! All the kids will love this because they get to knock-knock on the chocolate round ball and there are surprises waiting for them.

This is a “Chocolate Shell” made by my dearest friend Tina of 甜屋烘焙坊 with cake based hiding the surprise of my older children’s choices on behalf of their baby sister.

I cannot wait for my baby to smash it with a wooden hammer. 

Succulent Cupcakes

These less sugar Swiss Meringue Buttercream succulent cupcakes were ready for my little sisterly friend’s business Que Tea and Coffee at the Plant Sale in Upper Mount Gravatt in May this year.

Piping these succulents are so much fun and I can really get creative. I had six vanilla and six chocolate cupcakes coated with 70% dark chocolate ganache in order to stick the edible soil or sand on, (mixed with digestive cookies and Oreos crumbs). To finalise the whole look, I even threw in some edible chocolate rocks .

Geometric Heart Cake

 

Here I have a geometric heart cake in the signature Tiffany blue and decorated with a sugar paste bow for my hubby of 14 years today.

Gift my loved one, this literal bundle of joy filled with matcha chiffon cake, red bean paste, whipped cream , then loaded with chocolatey treat and mark our day a memorable one!

This beautiful heart shape smashable cake is like a dream come true for my little ones as well.

Letter M Cake

 

Celebrating my little sisterly friend’s birthday today with this initial cake.

It consists of 4 layers of delicious moist vanilla and chocolate chiffon cakes, silky fresh whipped cream piped between each layer. It is then topped with preserved and sugared flowers, macarons, chocolates, chocolates coated strawberry and magical jelly beans.

Macaron Cake

 

Today I am bringing a super exciting new birthday cake to you! My new way to celebrate birthdays is with this nearly five inches Macaron Birthday Cake!

Macarons are without a doubt the sweetest and prettiest treats for occasions. Whether bite sized, oversized, or in fun shapes, they continue to be one of the most sought after desserts for events and celebrations!

I make one regular batch of macarons, which would give me about 30 macaron cookies, and I end up with 4 larger shells. This time, when making the vanilla shells, I had a bit of leftover batter, so I piped it into mini macarons, which I then used to top the cake.

In the end, it has 4 layers of vanilla macarons, 4 thin layers of chocolate ganache, 4 layers of light and moist chocolate chiffon (our Swiss Roll recipe）and decorated with mini macarons and some preserved flowers!

Baby Shark Cake

 

Doo…Doo…Doo…The Baby Shark song has been on constant rotation in my little sisterly friend’s household and it’s not surprising that these catchy lyrics are fun and place a smile on her daughter’s face. Hence, we will be incorporating Baby Shark on to her birthday cake.

I covered this entire cake with light blue tone with marble effect fondant and created sea themed fondant cake decorations, to use throughout the cake.

Using the ocean theme fondant silicone molds, I created the coral, starfishes, and seashells.

I created the fondant toppers a few days in advance and allowed them to dry accordingly before placing all the fondant decorations on the cake. I wanted to give the illusion that the cake was surrounded by sand.

I used digestive cookies and spread it evenly around the base of the cake. Next, I delicately placed the fondant pieces around the sides of the cake and on the base.

Overall, this cake was a joy to make and what an adorable cake for any toddler girl or boy.

Alphabet T Cake

Good morning, Everyone

Alphabet cakes are the cake version of the almond cookie dough that is shaped into letters, or numbers or the heart shapes filled with cream cheese whipped cream in between and on top. Finally, they get decorated with fresh fruits, flowers or macarons etc. This was a huge trend back in 2018 and you would see these kind of cakes everywhere.

This is a golden butter cake with stabilised fresh whipped cream, although the trend of these letter cakes is cookie based, I prefer a real cake for my little sisterly friend’s birthday celebration.

This gorgeous cake is topped with raspberries, macarons, chocolate treats (Hershey‘s Birthday Cake Kisses and strawberry jam chocolate), jelly beans, persevered and sugared flowers.

Louis Vuitton Cake

 

Hi Everyone

A classy cake for a classy lady. This spectacular Louis Vuitton cake is made by layering vanilla and chocolate swirl sponge with homemade strawberry jam and chocolate ganache, it is then covered with fondant that is the iconic Damier Ebene Canvas pattern.

The cake then is topped with the LV logo. It is completed with our vanilla macarons decorated with Louis Vuitton Multicolour Monogram pattern. Finally, the customised macarons are placed as the topper for the chocolate cupcakes on the cake board.

Will this cake become our signature creation? This is the third one so far.

Tractor Cake

Dear Cake Sweeties

A cute little farm tractor cake for my little sisterly friend’s son’s first birthday.

It’s a simple single tiered vanilla cake with the handmade strawberry filling and milk chocolate ganache before covered in and decorated with fondant.

The tractor was made from Rice-Krispie treats and covered in fondant as well. Handmade Border Collie figurine is the birthday boy’s pet big brother. Moreover, a special gesture to showcase my little sisterly friend and her husband’s nationalities is the edible Irish and Taiwanese flags. She is Taiwanese and he is an Irish. I suggested a handmade cow figurine to present the birthday boy was born right before the year of ox. I also surprised them with a baby boy figurine topper.

Anti-Drooling Ceremony

Dear Cake Sweeties

Happy nearly 4th month, our little muffin. We had 12 slobber cookies for baby Emma Grace’s anti-drooling ceremony last Sunday. The cookies are strung together with a red string and then placed around her neck. Family and friends was wiping her lips with the cookies while extending their well wishes. After the ceremony, the cookies were shared with guests.

Push-up cake pop with a layer of chocolate cake, ganache, vanilla cake, brown sugared cookie and cow pattern macaron was for guests to take home.

Cake was vanilla and dark chocolate swirl cake.

I am currently planning her first birthday in two months time. How time flies in a blink of eyes.
