Hi Cake Sweeties,
I made another giant cupcake cake for my dear friend Lillian’s daughter. The cake was an ombre vanilla butter cake with buttercream icing and fondant butterfly accents. Again, I used the Big Top giant cupcake silicone mould to make the wrapper used white chocolate dyed in pink.
The design of the cake was from a photo sent to me by Lillian. I did a search just to be sure the credit of this design should go to “gateau”.
Glad to see Baby Theadora dived into the cake and got all messy.
The first year is just a stepping-stone to many memories yet to make. Congratulations on the first milestone birthday!
Please feel free to contact us for a quote. Our giant vanilla ombre (optional) butter cupcake is frosted with your choice of color to match your theme and white chocolate wrapper also the color of your choice; and decorated with our delicious vanilla frosting.
Thank you for stopping by!

Hi, Cake Sweeties
I had my birthday last week and I couldn't help but to make a cake for myself. The design was from a talent cake artist "Joonie Tan".
This was a dummy cake that allowed me to test some fondants from the supermarkets. You could see some cracks and rough finishes from the other fondants I used. At the end, I still prefer "Bakels" as it's easier to work with here in Australia and tastes better.
Thank you, God, for giving me another year of life.
To my dearest Mum and Dad: I grew up cocooned in your love, comforted by your hugs and motivated by your lives… and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks for everything.
To my dearest sisters: Spending my childhood with you girls has taught me the most important life lesson – that an older and younger sister together with me, can face just about whatever. Thanks for everything, sisters!!
To my dearest the other half: Thanks for blending the right amount of FRIENDSHIP with the right amount of COMPANIONSHIP to create a beautiful potion called our MARRIAGE.
To my beautiful children: I know that I have given you guys a thousand reasons to be frustrated while growing up. Now I feel guilty because you two have given me a million reasons to be happy. Love you my lil Valentine and lil baby girl.
Thank you for all my dearest friends who remembered me today by sending cards, and letters, gifts and good wishes.
Love you all and I am blessed to call you my family and friends.
Thank you all for your continuing support of my little hobbit of baking, caking, crafting, planning and so on...I cannot do it without you.
I hope to see you again soon.

Presenting you Paul's second birthday cake today! Although Paul is a Toyota Sales Assistant Manager, he has some cars he also likes. This is only one of the reasons that I made him this BMW Logo Cake, Jeremy has inherited from Paul who has shown great interest in knowing cars.

Turning forty isn't a bad thing. It's your whole life has led up to me and kids alongside you. Make the most of it while we fully supporting you.
Wishing you not only a deliriously happy 40th birthday but also a lifetime of immense joy, inner peace and true success!

Hi, Cake Lovers
I am sorry that I have to delay once again about Paul's BMW birthday cake. I find myself also love a good birthday cake full of characters.
This week, I am sharing a Finding Nemo/Dory themed cake for one year old Sophie (her Chinese nickname symbolised the main character). The base design came from my first ocean related birthday cake a few years back. However, this cake is just as fun and more colourful. Mummy's biggest request was to have five characters from the movie, we settled on having Nemo, Dory, Squirt, Peach and Pearl.
I made two visions of the Peach (The Octopus) as the first one I had each tentacle made separated before attaching to the body. Then I did further research about the character, it has very short tentacles (one specifically shorter but not noticeable according to the information and from the plastic figurine you found on the market) has no seams. I
I also had two sizes of Pearl (The Starfish). In the beginning, I thought I made it too big but in the movie, it's bigger than Nemo. As a result, I switched it back the last minute.
Before I began the process, I thought the most difficult one would be Squirt. At the end, Dory was the most difficult one. I had three made (her pattern on the body, her facial expressions and her fins are all very unique) and finally I got it right and happy with at the end. :-)
The edible figurines on the top were setting on a white/reef sand decorated cake board, so it can be kept as a keepsake for many years.
Nero, Dory, Squirt, Peach and Pearl wishing you a Happy Birthday. Your parents are lucky to have such an adorable one year old as their child...and you are lucky to have such loving parents as your mum and dad. Have a good year ahead...
